SiteMenu includes an integrated
browser for viewing Documentation
Links, launching browser events (see
below), exploring network folders, and linking to intranet
or Internet sites. Whereas SiteMenu menu
bars are designed to handle hierarchical menus
and submenus, and SiteMenu HotLists
are designed to handle tabular CAD standards data,
the SiteMenu browser offers an alternative color
graphical interface for delivering CAD
standards and design information.
Features
- Uniform standards interface for MicroStation
and AutoCAD
- Allows delivery of design information in a color
graphic format
- Sends commands to MicroStation or AutoCAD via browser events
- Used to display menu item-specific custom
user documentation
- Browser is closed automatically by selecting
an item or clicking a view
- Browser is integrated - moves and expands with
host CAD application
- Browser can be linked to a SiteMenu HotBox
for quick activation

Events
Browser events are commands or actions that are initiated
from a page being viewed in the SiteMenu browser. Browser
events can include launching an email, opening a document
or spreadsheet, sending a command to MicroStation or AutoCAD, exploring a network folder,
or opening a web page. Using the SiteMenu browser, you will
be able to place symbols (cells and blocks); set drawing
attributes (layer, color, style, weight); open drawing files
and attach references; or run macros. Simply use your favorite word processor to create pages containing
commands to drive MicroStation or AutoCAD - hyper linked
to images or text within the document.
