HotLists
HotLists are
lists of items containing one or more columns of information
such as name, description, and attributes. The items are
grouped and organized under tabs and displayed in a resizable
spreadsheet-like dialog. HotLists are ideal
for accessing tables, schedules, level-layer schemes, and
other tabular CAD standards data and design automation.
Features
- HotLists offer an efficient interface for tabular
CAD standards data
- HotLists allow browsing quickly through large
volumes of commands
- The HotList dialog automatically disappears
after selecting an item
- Groups of items can be layered from multiple
network locations
- HotLists can be linked to a SiteMenu HotBox
for quick activation
Each HotList is unique,
with its own title and set of tabs. Each
tab is also unique, with its own columns
and list of items. Each tab corresponds to one
LST (text) file, defining column names, column
widths, and command(s) to be activated. Multiple
tabs can be layered into a HotList from any number
of network locations. SiteMenu supports up to 100 HotLists,
allowing you to switch HotLists from within a HotList. Columns
can be resized, moved, or hidden dynamically during use.
Commands can be chosen by navigating through
tabs and lists with your arrow keys or mouse. A
single click will activate the item and dismiss the dialog
instantly.
Each HotList item contains commands
to drive either MicroStation, AutoCAD, or both. Commands
may include SiteMenu commands,
MicroStation key-in commands, or AutoCAD commands (using
menu macro syntax).
