Welcome to
the ProSoft KnowledgeBase

The KnowledgeBase provides a convenient way to search for free MDLs, macros,
tips, utilities, and information available throughout the CAD software
community. Many files can be requested directly from
ProSoft, while others may come
from Bentley, Intergraph, or a number of other sources. Where known, credit is
always given to the author of each item.
The
KnowledgeBase is designed as an online “catalog” of the best available tools
& information. If you know of additional MDLs, macros, tips, or utilities
that you believe should also be listed in the KnowledgeBase, please send a
description to support@prosoftnet.com or
give us a call at 207-781-7000, or toll-free, 888-781-7000.
- Searching
- To
search for a specific item, enter the item number and click
Retrieve. Otherwise, enter a keyword or phrase in the field
labeled "Search String" and click Search [or press Enter] to
view the results. You can restrict your search by selecting a specific
Software product or the Type of solution you want to find
(e.g. MDL, macro, TIP, etc.) Click the Reset
button to clear your search criteria.

Viewing Results

The
result list displays items that match your search parameters. Clicking on any
of the document titles
will
display the appropriate information in the area below the search list.
Author shows the original creator of the
macro, MDL, tip, or utility. Author is listed whenever it is someone other than
Rowse Company (now ProSoft). It is our intention to give credit to the source of each
contribution to the KnowledgeBase, and we have made every effort to give credit
where it is due. If you notice any items for which we are possibly listing
incorrect credits, or none at all, please notify us as soon as possible and we
will correct it immediately. If you are the author of any items listed on the
KnowledgeBase and feel that your item is listed without your permission (or do
not want people contacting you for
more information), please accept our apologies and let us know as soon as possible
so we can make
the necessary corrections.
If an icon is visible to the left of any document
title, that means a file is available for that item. Available From
is a field listing whom you should contact to get a copy of the
associated file. If the file is available from ProSoft, the icon will be
in color and you will find a Request File button to
the right of the item title and number. If the icon is
gray, it means the file is available from another source, which will be
listed for your information. These icons also have tool tips to
show you the Available From information without loading the item description.
Simply hold your cursor over the icon for a few seconds and the tool tip will
appear.
Clicking on Help will display this help
page. Clicking on Submit Tip will open an
email in which you can describe additional tips or utilities that you would like
to see added to the KnowledgeBase. Thank you in advance for your contributions
to make this site even better!
Problems
Some
computers (laptops in particular) may have problems displaying the KnowledgeBase
front-end if the text size is set too large through the system text
settings. If you do not see the
search fields without scrolling, then try setting your system text size
smaller.
