Piranesi is a 2D and 3D painting software package, designed for creating photorealistic and non-photorealistic rendered images from simple models, plans, and elevations. Piranesi output is unique, combining the power of digital imaging technology with hand drawing tools and special artistic effects.

Piranesi responds to depth and material information stored in each pixel, enabling you to work quickly and accurately as you "paint in space". Use colors and tints, apply photographic or hand drawn textures, and add backgrounds and cutouts. Feedback is instantaneous, allowing you to test options and steadily refine your image.

There is no limit to the effects that can be generated with Piranesi, from soft water colors and impressionistic filters, to clearly delineated etchings, charcoal, pen and ink, or atmospheric mists. Piranesi’s intelligent painting tools allow you to produce images that emphasize what is important while relaxing focus in other areas. Unnecessary detail does not need to be modeled. Piranesi users find that such images cost less to produce, can be produced earlier in the design process, and communicate design concepts and intention more effectively.

Piranesi includes over 2000 brushes, textures, filters, and other effects. Each effect you create can be stored as a style for precise duplication in future renderings.
